Intellectual Property Policy

International Journal of Islamic Financial is an open-access journal committed to protecting author rights and supporting the wide dissemination of scholarly work. The journal respects intellectual property rights and ensures that published articles can be accessed, shared, and reused responsibly.

Authors retain full copyright of their articles published in International Journal of Islamic Financial. The journal does not require authors to transfer copyright. By publishing in the journal, authors grant the journal the right of first publication and allow the journal to identify itself as the original publisher of the article.

All articles are published under the CC BY-NC 4.0. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original and do not violate the intellectual property rights of others. Any use of third-party materials, such as figures, tables, images, instruments, or substantial text excerpts, must be properly cited and, when necessary, used with permission from the copyright holder.

The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, copyright infringement, or redundant publication. All submissions may be checked for similarity using plagiarism detection tools. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism, unauthorized copyrighted material, or substantial overlap with previously published work may be rejected. If such issues are found after publication, the journal may issue a correction, expression of concern, or retraction.

Authors may share and archive their work, including preprints, accepted manuscripts, and the final published version, in institutional repositories, personal websites, academic networks, or other platforms, provided that the original publication in The International Journal of Islamic Financial System is properly acknowledged and cited.

The journal accepts manuscripts that have previously appeared as theses, dissertations, conference presentations, working papers, or preprints, as long as this is clearly disclosed during submission and does not violate copyright or publication ethics.

The name, logo, website design, and other branding elements of The International Journal of Islamic Financial System are the property of the journal and its publisher and may not be used in a misleading or unauthorized manner.

This policy aims to protect author rights, promote responsible reuse, and support transparent and ethical open-access publishing.
