Use of Generative AI and AI-assisted Technologies in Writing
Please note that this policy applies specifically to the writing process and does not restrict the use of AI tools for data analysis or the generation of research insights as part of the research process.
Authors who use AI or AI-assisted technologies in the preparation of their manuscripts should do so solely to improve language clarity and readability, and not to replace essential scholarly activities such as developing scientific arguments, interpreting results, drawing conclusions, or making clinical or pedagogical recommendations. The use of such technologies must remain under human supervision and control, and all outputs should be carefully reviewed and edited by the authors. It is important to recognize that AI-generated content may appear authoritative while potentially containing inaccuracies, omissions, or biases. Therefore, authors retain full responsibility and accountability for the content of their work.
Authors are required to transparently disclose the use of AI and AI-assisted technologies in their manuscripts, and such disclosures will be included in the published article. This practice promotes transparency and trust among authors, reviewers, editors, and readers, and ensures compliance with the terms and conditions of the respective technologies.
AI tools must not be listed as authors or co-authors. Authorship implies accountability and responsibilities that can only be fulfilled by human contributors. Each listed author is responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the work, must approve the final version of the manuscript, and consent to its submission. Authors are also responsible for ensuring the originality of the manuscript, confirming that all listed contributors meet authorship criteria, and verifying that the work does not infringe upon the rights of third parties.
